How to load customers?
There are two different ways to load customers to set up a payment instruction. The first is by having your customers fill out our Direct Debit Request form (DDR). This direct debit request form can be completed by going into your online account and entering the details as required – stipulate the dates, amounts and frequencies of the payments according to your business preferences. After that, you’re done. Ezypay takes care of the rest!
Alternatively, you can load customers by taking advantage of our great Direct Debit Gateway (DDG). This means that customers can sign up and join your business online! To do this, you need to create a payment plan within your online account and embed this into your website, or send it as an html link with an email. Doing this means that your client gives you the authority to allow Ezypay to collect direct debits as this online gateway links directly to your Ezypay online account. Ezypay will start the debits automatically so there is no data entry for you to complete, ultimately increasing your sales and revenue!
Fill out an Ezypay direct debit request form in just 5 minutes!
Follow these steps to fill out a direct debit request form
Step 1: Fill out the required basic information including:
- First name
- Date of birth
- Phone number
Direct debit request form: Payment instruction
Step 2: If you are dealing with an one-off debit, go to Step 2A.
If you are dealing with a recurring debit, go to Step 2B
Step 2A: Fill out the section that states:
- First debit or once off debit
- To be debited on:__________
You can also opt to include an ending debit date.
Step 2B: If you want to include a regular debit amount, complete the section that states:
- Regular amount ___________
- To be debited every: ____ month(s) or ____ Week(s)
- Starting on ____________
You can also opt to include an ending debit date.
Direct debit request form: Payment method
Please remember that you do NOT need to enter a credit card AND BSB number. You only need to fill out ONE depending on your customer’s payment preferences.
If your customer wants pay via bank account, then please go to Step 3A.
If your customer wants to pay via credit card, then please go to Step 3B.
Step 3A: Please complete the following sections to pay via bank account:
- Name of Institution, (e.g. “Commonwealth Bank”)
- Suburb where branch is located
- Number of Account Holder(s)
- BSB Number
- Account Number
Step 3B: Please complete the following sections to pay via credit card:
- Select card type: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners
- Card Number
- Expiry Date
- Name on Card

Step 4: Makesure that the customer signs the direct debit request form after reading the Terms & Conditions
This is really important as Ezypay CANNOT accept unsigned direct debit request forms.
If you are loading customer online, then a signature is not needed, as long as you have cited some form of I.D.
Are you an online principal?
Online principals will also receive a direct debit request form via email in their welcome pack. This form is exactly identical to the first DDR form, however, there is NO Ezypay reference number attached on the bottom right hand side of the page. This is a PDF file that you can re-use. You will receive a sheet full of stickers that have a variety of unique reference numbers on them that are allocated to your principal ID. Each time a customer fills out a DDR form, you can peel a sticker from the sheet and stick it on the form. Remember, these numbers are already allocated to your principal ID so the money will be going into your account.
If you forget to stick the sticker on the form and we receive it, it is extremely difficult for Ezypay to identify whose form this belongs to. In this case, we will have to contact the customer to find out who we are billing on behalf of, which can come across as unprofessional.
The DDR form should be filled out exactly as stipulated in the steps above.
Where do I send my completed DDR form?
There are 3 different ways to send the form to Ezypay.
- Our number is 02 9410 1000.
- Going to your online secure account and actually loading it online.
If you fax or send the form via mail, you will receive confirmation that we have received the form on the daily activity report the following day by email. You will also see when it has been loaded. If you have NOT received the email, it means we have not received your direct debit request forms and are advised to follow this up.
