2022 will see the introduction of a new payment method in Australia called PayTo. Set to revolutionise the way Australian businesses bill their customers, PayTo is expected to launch in the middle of the year and will be the eventual replacement for direct debit payments. PayTo offers key improvements for payment processing including increased collection outcomes and fraud prevention, with a suite of new features expected to set it apart from existing payment methods.

“Our core focus is to continue to innovate in subscription payments, as we have done for the last 25 years."

Growing from being Australia’s first subscription payments provider, Ezypay Chief Executive, James Foster, commented, “our core focus is to continue to innovate in subscription payments, as we have done for the last 25 years."

When Ezypay launched in 1996, we were the first company to introduce direct debit payments to the Australian market. Since that time, our focus has been to continue to innovate in subscription payments, and this is highlighted by our membership of NPPA’s PayTo User Forum. The forum, setup to assist NPPA (New Payments Platform Australia) with the implementation and rollout of PayTo, is made up of key stakeholders within the Australian payments industry, including Ezypay. Our CEO, James Foster, commented on our involvement in the user forum, "As innovators in subscription payments, Ezypay is proud to be part of NPPA's user forum, helping shape PayTo's rollout and implementation in Australia.".

PayTo is expected to launch in July 2022 and Ezypay is preparing to be ready on day one. Implementation work has already begun and consultations with our early adoptor integration partners are underway. As we draw nearer to the launch of PayTo, we will continue to work with our banking partners to ensure PayTo is readily available to Australian businesses.
